The UW-Fox Valley women’s basketball team tips off their season Wednesday, November 17, at Madison Area Technical College.
Joe Springer, in his second year as coach, is enthused and upbeat with this year’s squad. After slumping to a 1-win season last year, he is optimistic about this year’s yet to be released production line model. "I think that we are going to be a lot more experienced than what we were last year….we seem to have a lot faster team [with] better shooting," Springer said after Monday’s practice at the UW-Fox Valley Fieldhouse. According to Springer, the Lady Cyclones will again have to overcome a traditional lack of height to be successful.
UW-Fox Valley competes in the Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association. Comprised of the 13, 2-year Wisconsin colleges that belong to the Wisconsin Collegiate
Conference, the WJCAA also encompasses the five technical schools of the Wisconsin Technical College Conference.
UW-Fox Valley Cyclones play their home games at the Fieldhouse, located on the campus grounds.
The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is located at 1478 Midway Road, Menasha, between South Oneida Street on the east and S. Appleton Road on the west. UW-FV is just south of Hwy #441.
