UWFox Hosts ‘Fox Valley Concert Band Spring Concert’

City of Menasha, WI – The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is hosting the Fox Valley Concert Band's final performance of the 2012-2013 season on Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the campus' Perry Hall.
The Fox Valley Concert Band (FVCB), under the direction of Dr. Marc Sackman, will perform classic and contemporary band music by American composers, including William Schuman, Frank Ticheli, and Claude T. Smith.
Members of the FVCB percussion section will be featured during the performance of David Gillingham's "Concertino for Four Percussion and Wind Ensemble."
The FVCB will also celebrate the Broadway musical genre when plays a number of selections from "The Phantom of the Opera."
In keeping with the FVCB's tradition of concluding its performances with a rousing march, John Philip Sousa's "The Free Lance March" will bring the season – and concert – to a close.
The concert is free and open to the public, with unreserved seating.
