UWFox Hosts Scholars Series Presentation ‘Writing, Publishing and a Little Writing’
The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley continues its excellent 2012 Scholars Series when it hosts a special panel discussion session, entitled, "Writing, Publishing and a Little Writing." This Scholars Series presentation takes place in UWFox classroom #1338 from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, and features as panelists published authors Bill Gillard (UWFox assistant professor of English), Dr. Peggy Rozga (professor of English at UW-Waukesha), and J.D. Whitney (professor Emeritus of English at UW-Marathon County/Wausau).
The panel will discuss how poets make poems happen, how poems make poets happen, how those poems go out into the world on their own.
Three poets of different styles, techniques, and backgrounds will read briefly from their poetry and discuss their understandings of the origins, audiences, and paths to publication of their work.
The Scholars Series is free and open to the public with unreserved seating. For more information, contact the UWFox Office of University Relations, 920-832-2611.
