Pyrites of the Caribbean Adventure & Exhibit

Come to the Weis Earth Science Museum from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2007, for a day of pirate adventure and fun! Meet a pirate, take part in pirate activities and crafts, and see pirate mineral treasure and weapons. Every child who wears a Halloween costume to the museum will receive a free gift! All children will be eligible to enter a drawing for pirate prizes, including some REAL GOLD! The event is free with admission to the museum.
The exhibit, “Pyrites of the Caribbean,” opens on October 20 in the Mineral Gallery at the Weis, which is located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley. The exhibit runs through May 31, 2008, and is free with admission to the museum. On display are gemstone minerals, pyrite from around the world, pirate weapon replicas, and more.
