Love! Valour! Compassion! to be Performed at UWFox

The staged reading Love! Valour! Compassion! is being performed in the Fine Arts Theatre at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley in Menasha on February 9, 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. and also at 2 p.m. on February 11. Love! Valour! Compassion! by Terrence McNally is set in a beautiful Dutchess County farmhouse, where eight men hash out their passions, resentments and fears over the course of three summer weekends. Against all odds, they find love for what may be one last summer.
The UWFox production is a staged reading for mature audiences. Directed by Susan Rabideau, UWFox theatrical director, the production features several well-known actors from Milwaukee, Chicago, Los Angeles and Appleton. Together on stage will be Larry Dahlke, Bryce Lord, MJ Marsh, Christopher Pazdernik, Fran St. Andre, Osvaldo Vega and Mark Zastrow.
The production won the Tony award for best play in 1995. The New Yorker commented, “ … in this beautifully written work, McNally presents humbling evidence of what human love is and can be.”
