The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is holding auditions for its upcoming production of “Hair” on Thursday, January 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the UWFox Fine Arts Theatre, located in the center of the Menasha campus.
“Hair,” the great American tribal love-rock musical from the late 1960’s, “questions the standards of morality, sexuality, individualism, racism, drug use, loyalty, and social acceptance,” according to Susan Rabideau, the play’s director and Assistant Professor of Communication and Theatre Arts at UWFox.
Show dates for the production are April 21, 22, 23 and 24, with a 7:00 p.m. curtain time for all performances. “Hair,” with lyrics written by Gerome Ragni and James Rado, and music by Galt McDermot, “demonstrates that peace, love, freedom and happiness are never out of date,” says Rabideau.
Further information about the production can be obtained by calling Rabideau at UWFox, 920-932-2857 or emailing her at Susan.Rabideau@uwc.edu.
