On March 14 and 15, the Weis Earth Science Museum at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is hosting its annual “Fox Rocks” show. “Fox Rocks” is being held in the UWFox Student Union and Emeritus Room, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.
Admission to “Fox Rocks” is free and includes dealers selling reasonably priced minerals, fossils and jewelry. In addition, displays, jewelry-making demonstrations, door prizes, and lots of fun kid’s activities will be available. A raffle for an amethyst necklace and a silent auction for exciting specimens will be held all weekend.
“Fox Rocks” is a fun family event and a great way to beat the cabin fever of this long and cold winter season. Admission to the Weis Earth Science Museum, Wisconsin’s official mineralogical museum, is half price during the “Fox Rocks” show.
