The Fox Cry Review, the regionally acclaimed literary magazine of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley, seeks excellent poetry and fiction for its 2011 issue, which is scheduled to be published in the Fall of 2011. The Fox Cry Review is the longest-running literary magazine of any two-year college in the United States.
The Fox Cry Review is open for submissions between now and February 1, 2011. Both beginning and well-established writers have appeared in the campus’ literary magazine, with local writers from the Fox Cities and the UWFox campus especially welcome to submit their work.
While there are no specific guidelines for writing style or subject matter, writers should send their best work (3-5 poems or up to 2,500 words of fiction, creative non-fiction, or drama) in one of two ways.
Works can be submitted within the body of an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Writers should advise the Fox Cry Review staff if the work submitted electronically needs any special formatting. Email attachments will be unread and deleted, unless they are submitted from a University of Wisconsin email account.
Hard copy submissions must be typed and accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope and sent to: Editor, Fox Cry Review, University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley, 1478 Midway Road, Menasha, WI 54952.
The Fox Cry Review staff will recycle the paper on which literary works have been submitted. Writers submitting their work should never send original copies of anything. The Fox Cry Review staff will reply to writers submitting works by email or SASE. Simultaneous submissions are okay, as long as writers notify the Fox Cry Review staff if their work has been accepted elsewhere.
Payment for accepted submissions is one contributor copy of the Fox Cry Review.
