Menasha, WI – The Wisconsin Institute of Public Policy and Service (WIPPS), a department within the UW System, is inviting the public to attend a special meeting entitled, “Economic Security: How Should We Take Charge of Our Economic Future?,” on March 31, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in room #1341 on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley in Menasha.
The meeting’s facilitators will ask attendees to consider, “How can we best take charge of our personal and national economic future,” and, “How can individuals and families move toward a financially stable retirement?”
According to WIPPS, “Organizations and individuals across the country are encouraging citizen dialogue on this important issue.” Forums are being held throughout Wisconsin as well as the nation. It is intended that results of these events will be discussed at a statewide event during the Spring 2011 at a nationwide event held in Washington, D.C.
The event is free and open to the public, with unreserved seating. Local residents and citizens are encouraged to add their voice to this “national conversation on improving our economic security,” to share their personal views, and look forward to the results of the state and national dialogue as they’re shared with state and national leaders.
This event is co-sponsored by UWFox, the University of Wisconsin Colleges, the University of Wisconsin-Extension, and the Kettering Foundation’s National Issues Forums.
