The Aaron Bohrod Gallery, located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley in Menasha, will open an exhibit “A Passion for Pottery: Eight Wisconsin Ceramic Artists” from November 7 through December 16, 2005. Among the artists exhibiting are three from the Fox Valley region: Rick McKinney of Appleton, and Rich Agness and Eric King, each of Neenah. The exhibition also features Reed Schoonover of Clintonville, Karl Borgeson of Whitewater, Simon Levin of Gresham, David Caradori of Eau Claire and Jeff Noska of Waukesha. According to Max Schultz, director of the Bohrod Gallery, the exhibit features functional pottery – bowls, cups and other vessels – that are both aesthetically pleasing and useful.
The public is invited to an opening artists' reception planned for Friday, November 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday hours are noon to 4 p.m., closed on Sunday. The gallery is open to the public and no admission is charged.
