‘Fox Valley Concert Band’ to Perform Winter Concert at UWFox

The Fox Valley Concert Band presents its annual Winter Concert, and its first performance in 2012, on Saturday, March 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Perry Hall on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley.
The Fox Valley Concert Band is under the direction of Dr. Marc Sackman, associate professor of music and director of bands at UWFox.
The program will be based around the works of important compositions for band by American composers, including "Vesuvius" by Frank Ticheli and "Give Us This Day" by David Maslanka. Works written earlier in the 20th century performed will be Clifton Williams’ concert march "The Sinfonians and Elegy" by John Barnes Chance. A second march will also be played, the "March of the Belgian Parachutists" by Pieter Leemans.
The Fox Valley Concert Band is composed of university students, alumni and Fox Valley residents. The concert is free and open to the public with unreserved seating. For more information about this event, contact Sackman at 832-2625 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
