UWFox Director of Theatre Susan Rabideau announced an additional production of “Almost, Maine” on Saturday April 16 at 6 p.m. “Our regular schedule has achieved sell-out crowds and we are confident that we have enough interest to pack the house on April 16, too,” Rabideau explained.
The show is set on a cold, clear, moonless Friday night in the middle of winter, where all is not quite what it seems in the remote mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised and hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. But the bruises heal and the hearts mend—almost—in what has been described as “a comic, romantic roundelay" by the Wall Street Journal. Almost, Maine inventively explores the mysteries of the human heart, touching audiences with laughter, heartbreak, and hope.
Tickets are $12 for adults/$10 seniors and students/$5.00 UWFox students. Tickets can be ordered online at https://foxtickets.uwc.edu/ Students showing a UWFox ID can get one free ticket.
