Age: 20

Hometown: Black Creek, WI

Current Residence: Menasha, WI

When attended UWFox: Fall 2007- Fall 2008; presently enrolled at UW Oshkosh.

Background before UWFox:

Graduated from Appleton North HS in 2006. Attended Minnesota State University, Mankato, in 2006-2007.

Why did you choose UWFox?

I was able to earn my Associate of Arts and Science Degree (December 2008) through the UWFox Fast Track program and work more than 40 hours a week at “Buckle” in the Fox River Mall.

The UWFox Fast Track program’s classes are smaller in size than regular classes, and it allows students from many different backgrounds to obtain their degree in a more accommodating atmosphere. After five weeks with the same students, interacting online and meeting once a week, I felt like I built a new academic network as well as a new business network.

Your chosen major and career plans

I’m presently taking 15 credits at UW Oshkosh and majoring in Marketing. My immediate plan is to obtain my Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing. The completion of my B.B.A. will help prepare me for the many marketing challenges I will encounter in the work force.  After I graduate I hope to join a dynamic marketing team where I can use my background to create, communicate, deliver, and exchange ideas to grow and advance.

I then plan to continue my education by earning my M.B.A. while working full-time, allowing me to develop a deeper understanding of corporate strategy so I’ll be able to advance my management skills in all areas of business. With my education and professional experience I hope to work in an environment where I can help an organization meet its goals.
