“... until I’ve decided what to major in, it makes most sense to get my general education requirements out of the way here first. ”

Age: 18

Hometown and current residence: Appleton; attended Appleton East High School

Current program: Undecided

Background before UWFox:

All through high school I played soccer and tennis. I’ve carried that love of sports with me to UWFox and have had a great time with it so far.

Why did you choose UWFox?

I chose to go to UWFox for the same reasons I’m sure many choose to go to UWFox – it’s close to home and less expensive. Besides, until I’ve decided what to major in, it makes most sense to get my general education requirements out of the way here first.

Who is your favorite professor and why?

Ellen Wilson, psychology. It’s a new subject for me and so far it’s very interesting.

What are some crucial lessons you’ve learned during your time at UWFox so far?

I’ve really learned how to manage my time well. Before coming here I didn’t place too much of a focus on time management, but college is a different story. UWFox has really helped in teaching me those types of responsibilities.

What has been your favorite experience at UWFox thus far?

We had a great soccer season this year; we were undefeated up to the playoffs and lost in overtime in the state championship game. This says a lot considering last year’s team didn’t win a game! The success of this year’s team can be attributed to our coach, Lance Gordon, and all the very talented players. Coach expects us to motivate and lift each other up, and because of that support we’re more like family than teammates.
I was also named First Team All Conference-Soccer 2013 and Off

ensive Player of the Year 2013, two honors that Coach Gordon nominated me for.
