Donations from alumni and friends play an increasingly important part of the support for UWFox as state support for higher education has decreased over time. Your donation helps to keep a higher education affordable to students and helps to insure quality educational experiences. Donors are encouraged to contact the UW-Fox Valley Foundation Executive Director, Lisa Weiner, at lisa.weiner@uwc.edu or 920.832.2849.
Your support of UW-Fox Valley can occur through a variety of ways:
Annual Fund
Despite good planning sometimes needs arise due to unexpected opportunities or unanticipated needs. Donations to the unrestricted annual fund give the foundation board discretion in directing funds to various needs at UWFox.
Professional Development
Funds expenses related to the professional development of faculty and staff. This can include research or publishing scholarly works; presenting at or attending professional conferences/workshops; and other activities.
Scholarships
Provide financial support to students to assist them with the costs of their higher education.
Endowed Scholarships
They are sustained through a large donation which is invested so that the scholarship is funded through earnings generated by the principle. The UW-Fox Valley Foundation will work with endowed scholarship donors to structure the scholarship according to the donor’s wishes.
Designated Gifts
Directed gifts allow UW-Fox Valley to address special one-time needs. Designated gifts may create new programs, sustain existing programs through endowments, purchase equipment, or address other needs. The Barlow Planetarium, Weis Earth Science Museum, and Engineering Laboratory are all examples of areas on campus which have been created and have benefited through designated gifts. Please contact the Foundation office for a list of current designated gift opportunities.
Communication Arts Center Capital Campaign
UWFox has begun the most ambitious capital campaign in its 74-year history. The UW-Fox Valley Foundation will raise $2 million to supplement the $10.6 million commitment of Winnebago and Outagamie counties and $1.3 million for equipment from the state of Wisconsin.
Visit the CAC Giving page or contact Executive Director Lisa Weiner at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley Foundation for more information.
The Fox Heritage Society
At one time or another, we all ponder the legacy we will leave our children, our families and our larger community. Making an investment in education has always been a way to guarantee that we can make – and leave – the world a better place. The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley, through the Fox Heritage Society, can help this legacy live on through a planned gift. A charitable gift of any amount through a bequest can support UWFox long after the donor is gone. Individuals who inform the UW-Fox Valley Foundation of their intention to include the college in their estate plans will be inducted into the Fox Heritage Society.

Planned Giving
A charitable gift of any amount through a bequest can support UWFox long after the donor is gone. Individuals who inform the UW-Fox Valley Foundation of their intention to include the college in their estate plans will be inducted into the new Fox Heritage Society. The society honors donors of deferred gifts such as bequests, life insurance policies or trusts.
Matching Gift Companies
Many employers will match their employee’s gifts to UW Fox Valley. Matched gifts are a great way to maximize the impact of your individual donation. If your company participates in a gift matching program, please let the foundation officer know when you make your gift.
Gifts of Time
Volunteers help UWFox through gifts of their time and/or special skills, knowledge or talents.
