Annual Campus Security Reports
The UW-Fox Valley Annual Security Reports include statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by campus and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
The reports also include institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault and other matters.
Students will be notified each year, via e-mail, when the updated report is published. Copies of the report can be obtained from the Solution Center Office.
UW-Fox Valley rarely cancels all classes for severe weather and only when the campus cannot be safely accessed by a majority of our students. Please note that even when classes are cancelled, that does not mean the campus is closed.
Weather-related cancellations will be communicated by:
- An alert through text and campus email through the eAlert Alert Notification System.
- eAlert Banner on this website home page.
Sign up for the UW-Fox Valley eAlert system
Notices will ONLY be posted if ALL CLASSES are cancelled at UW-Fox Valley.
If classes are in session despite the weather, you are also encouraged to check the D2L sites for your classes to verify that your instructor has not cancelled that specific class due to inability to get to campus. Do not call the campus for information on individual class cancellations.
We do not cancel classes automatically when the public schools are closed or running late. Because University students are adults and are not dependent upon school buses, we use other criteria in making this decision.
You are always encouraged to use your own judgment regarding the safety of the roads. Conditions can vary depending upon your location and commute.
Although the Ebola virus poses no immediate threat to the general United States population, it is important to be aware of any changes in your health if you have recently traveled to one of the countries where the Ebola outbreak is occurring (currently Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and the Republic of the Congo) and to seek immediate medical care. For further information please check the UW Colleges and UW-Extension Health Information page.
View the Safety & Security page on the UW Colleges administrative website for more information about crime on campuses, sexual assault information, the sexual assault registry, and the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Act.
