ETS Application and Eligibility
The Fox Valley Educational Talent Search Program was established to serve 620 participants in the Kaukauna Area School District and Menasha Joint School District.
Two-thirds of the participants must meet the U.S. Department of Education's low-income guidelines, and must be potential first-generation college students. The first-generation guideline will be satisfied if neither parent has graduated from a four-year college or university. One-third of the participants need only to express a need for services. An expressed need for ETS services can be met by a referral from a teacher, counselor, or agency; self-referrals and the completed student needs section on the application is also accepted.
You are eligible to apply to ETS if:
- You attend one of the schools served in our target area.
- Your family's income is considered equal to or lower than the figures set by the U.S. Bureau of the Census. (see link above)
- and/or neither of your parents graduated from a four year college.
