Haruki Takahashi and Japanese Prints

An exhibition featuring a ceramic sculpture installation by Japanese artist Haruki Takahashi. Haruki is an art professor at Kanazawa College, Japan. The sculpture reminds one of floating branches/vines that show leaves and flowers in a very intricate delicate motion (hundreds of small pieces of ceramics are fitted together to create an entire room of sculpture). The exhibit will also feature 18th to 21th century Japanese prints from the collection of Frank Zetzman (UWFox professor of art) and Lynn Zetzman (Xavier High School art instructor).

August 24 to October 16, 2009

A lecture about the Japanese Print collection and the exhibition in general will be given by Lynn Zetzman on Tuesday, October 6th at 6:30 p.m. in the gallery.
