Educator Appreciation Nights

Each year the Barlow shows its appreciation for our local educators by hosting several  nights of special programming that allows educators (and their families) to experience our field trip program offerings.

Dates:  Tuesday, January 3; Wednesday January 4 & Thursday, January 5, 2016
Times:  6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

Educator Appreciation Nights include:

  • Free admission to the Barlow Planetarium for educators, administrators, PTO/PTA officers and their families.
  • Barlow's Educational Programs
    • Tuesday:  6:30 p.m. - The Friendly Sky (PreK-K) & 7:45 p.m. - Our Place in Space (Grades 1&2)
    • Wednesday:  6:30 p.m. - Solar System Exploration (Grades 3-5) & Orbit Space Science Demonstration (Grades 3-12)
    • Thursday:  6:30 p.m. - Galactic Quest (Grades 6-12) & Stories in the Sky (Grades 6-12)
  • Telescope Viewing (featuring the Moon and Venus)
  • Special post holiday showing of Laser Holidays at 9:00 p.m. each evening.
  • Educators receive a 50% discount on Barlow Planetarium family memberships!
  • RSVP for a chance to win 1 of 3 Barlow classroom field trip for up to 30 students - 1 awarded each night!

Barlow Planetarium School Spirit Night Fundraiser

Have a fun and educational fundraising event at the Barlow Planetarium. Schedule a Barlow Planetarium School Spirit Night for a private night of shows for just your students, families, extended families and neighbors. At the end of the night, 50% of the admission fees get returned to the school as a fun, educational, and easy fundraiser.

  • Single Program: $4.00/student
  • Double Program: $7.00/student ($3.50/student/program)
  • Triple Program: $10.50/student ($3.50/student/program)
  • Additional Programs: $3.50/student/program
