Season Preview 05-06
UW
Fox Valley men’s golf team will be returning two players from last
years team this fall. They are Colin Earl (Appleton East), and Kris Mlinar
(Appleton East). They hope to provide experience on this young team.
The 2005 team is filled with promising freshman who hope to propel the team towards the front of the conference. The freshmen include: Matt Hockers (East DePere), Isaiah Wells (Lighthouse Christian Academy), Justin Sawicky (Appleton West), and Luke Moran (St. Mary’s Central). These players all have the ability to shoot scores in the 70’s on a consistent basis. Matt Hockers started the year off strong with an opening round of 77 to win the first event at UW Washington County. The team is working hard to have more successes like this throughout the season.
The men’s golf team looks forward to playing some great courses
this season. We started the year at highly ranked Washington County and
look forward to trips to Meadow Links in Manitowoc, Rolling Meadows in
Fond du Lac, top ranked “The Bull” in Sheboygan, and the state
tournament at beautiful Mascoutin in the Green Lake area. Our lone home
event will be held at Winagamie on October 3.
