Pre-College Program

The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley has been awarded a grant through the UW System to continue the Pre-College program in an effort to motivate youth toward considering higher education. Area students will be brought together to participate in a variety of different educational activities during scheduled events focusing on academics as well as learning skills, the value of a college degree, communication and leadership, multicultural issues, and career exploration. We are very excited about the program and the opportunity to bring together youth in our community!

The Pre-College program is open to minority and/or economically disadvantaged youth from grades eight through twelve. Students need to meet the criteria and and be nominated by a Counselor or teacher. Application forms need to be completed prior to deadline date. For budgeting and transportation concerns, students will not be accepted into the program after the deadline date.

The 2007-08 dates are 12/07/2007, 1/11/2008, 2/8/2008, 3/7/2008, 4/18/2008, and 5/09/2008. Sessions will be held at various locations to further expand and engage students in educational opportunties. Transportation and lunch are provided by the campus.

Representatives from schools are always welcome to attend the Pre-College sessions along with their students.
