Major in Nursing

A degree in nursing will prepare you for a career that involves treating patients, providing support to patients and their family members, and educating patients and the public about various medical conditions.  Nursing education involves the theory and practice of nursing, as well as general education in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.  Among the natural sciences, biology and chemistry courses are especially important.  At UWFox we will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to prepare you for transfer to a four-year institution, and successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
