Commencement and Awards Ceremony
Members of the campus community at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley will celebrate the 2012 commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 17 at 7 p.m. in campus’ Fieldhouse.
Mr. Tim Higgins, J.D., a UW System Regent, UW-Madison graduate, and Fox Cities businessman, will give the commencement address. Immediately after the ceremony, faculty, staff, graduates, and guests are invited to a reception that will be held in the Thrivent Lobby of the Communication Arts Center.
Commencement Line-Up Information
[Graduates and students: please contact UWFox Student Services for more detailed information about what you need to do prior to as well as for the evening of the ceremony.]
- Associate Degree Candidates report to the Atrium (the space across from the café) by 6:15 p.m. Robes can be picked up in the Student Services Office no later than noon on May 17. There is no fee for robes.
- Faculty & Staff participating in the processional report to Rm 1012 (Science Wing) by 6:15 p.m.
Invitations and RSVPs
Invitations will be mailed in early May. There is no limit to the number of guests you can invite, however we ask that you indicate the number you plan to bring on the invitation reply card. As the reply card indicates, RSVP can also be made by e-mail to sarah.white@uwc.edu or telephone (920) 832-2641.
Seating
Guest seating should be done before 7 p.m. as the program will begin promptly. No one will be admitted to the Fieldhouse once the processional starts. After the processional ends with the faculty, staff, graduates and students seated, late arriving guests will be admitted and seated.
The ceremony generally lasts anywhere from 1 hour, 30 minutes, to 1 hour, 45 minutes. If you or your guest(s) require special seating accommodations, please contact University Relations Director Dave Hager at (920) 832-2611 or david.hager@uwc.edu.
Seating for the faculty, students, graduates and guests is accommodated via hundreds of chairs conveniently placed on the floor of the Fieldhouse; there is noseating in the Fieldhouse bleachers.
