University of Wisconsin–Fox Valley

Background grid

UW-Fox Valley offers a comprehensive student financial aid program that includes all major federal and state aid funds. Many aid sources are limited. Therefore, you should apply early. All application materials should be submitted as soon after January 1 as possible for the academic year beginning the following September. If possible, complete your federal tax return before submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Applicants who have submitted all necessary forms by April 15 will be given funding priority.

REMINDER: YOU MUST REAPPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID EACH YEAR.

Steps for applying for financial aid

  • The FAFSA is available electronically through the Internet.  You can apply from home or from campus. The FAFSA on-line applications are processed more quickly than paper applications and have fewer errors.

OR

  • Complete a paper FAFSA. These are available in the campus Student Resource. All high schools should have the paper FAFSA.
  • Most continuing students will receive a Pin number in the mail. Students who have a pin number can complete the FAFSA/Renewal on-line.
  • Apply for admission and be admitted.
  • You will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) two to six weeks after you submit your FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA. If necessary, make corrections on Part 2 and mail to the federal processor at the address listed.
  • Respond to requests for additional information from the UW Colleges' Student Financial Aid Office. Copies of federal tax returns, citizenship documents, etc. may be requested.
