How to Apply for Aid
In addition to the variety of scholarships offered, UWFox students have access to a comprehensive financial aid program that includes all major federal and state aid funds. Apply early because sources are limited. All application materials should be submitted as soon after January 1 as possible for the following academic year starting in September. If possible, complete your federal tax return before submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants who have all necessary forms in by April 15 will be given funding priority.
REMEMBER TO REAPPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID EACH YEAR.
Steps for applying:
- Complete the FAFSA online or fill out a paper FAFSA (available in the Learning Resource Center or at any high school).
- You will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) two to six weeks later. Make any needed corrections and mail to the federal processor.
- Respond to requests for additional information from the UW Colleges' Student Financial Aid Office.
