The Fox Cry Review is the UW-Fox Valley’s official literary magazine. Published annually since 1974, it is one of the longest running literary magazines of any two-year college in the nation. Submissions are accepted from September 1 – February 1 and may be sent to the 2008 editor:

Creative writing scholarship contests
Shirley Anders Memorial Creative Writing Scholarship
- Open to UW-Fox Valley students
- Award: $300
Any UW-Fox Valley student enrolled in six credits or more is eligible. Submit up to 15 typed pages of original poems, fiction, or essay. Do not include your name anywhere on the sample writing. On a separate cover page, type your name, address, and phone number along with the title (or titles) of the sample writing. Submit by March 1 to:

August Derleth Creative Writing Contest
- Open to any UW Colleges student
- Award: $250
Any UW Colleges student enrolled in six credits or more is eligible. Submissions must consist of 1-5 works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry and/or drama, not totaling more than 15 pages, typed and double-spaced (poetry can be single-spaced). Include a cover sheet with your name and address. Please do not put your name or other identifying mark on the other pages, so the work can be judged anonymously. (Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you want your materials returned to you.) No creative work previously published off campus is eligible for consideration.
