Campus Executive Officer/Dean's Position Responsibilities
The Campus Executive Officer is the Dean of the Campus, and bears responsibility for all aspects of the campus operation. This includes the academic program and curriculum, physical facilities, student life and interest, budget preparation and management, governmental relations, community relations, foundation management and fund-raising.
The CEO receives recommendations on hiring, retention, promotion and tenure from the various campus and departmental committees, and recommends to the chancellor on these matters.
The CEO supervises and evaluates academic staff at the level of director and above (Director - Aylward Gallery, Assistant Campus Dean for Administrative Services, Associate Campus Dean, Director - Continuing Education, Director - Instructional Technology, Assistant Campus Dean for Student Affairs, Director - University Relations, Director - University Children’s Center, Director - University Library, Director - Weis Earth Science Museum).
The CEO also serves as the primary public representative of the campus in the greater Fox Cities and statewide community.
The CEO/Campus Dean is appointed by the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents and serves at the pleasure of the Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Colleges.
